Haruka Ayase
Haruka Ayase is a Japanese actress, model and singer who started her career as a gravure idol in 2000. She has since become a top leading actress in television and film.
Biography
Haruka Ayase was born as Aya Tademaru on March 24, 1985, in Hiroshima Prefecture. Early in her career, Ayase was a gravure idol, releasing a photobook and DVD.She began appearing in films and television in 2002. She has appeared in many films and television series including her role as the oldest sister in Hirokazu Koreeda's Our Little Sister and her performance in the title role of 2013 NHK Taiga Drama, Yae's Sakura.
Ayase is a sought-after endorser of products in Japan, appearing in commercials for major consumer brands such as Coca-Cola, SK-II, and KFC.
The Japan Times called Ayase "the Japanese version of Anne Hathaway".
