Hang Chuon Naron
Hangchuon Naron is a Cambodian academic, economist, and politician who is the current Minister for Education, Youth and Sport, serving since 2013. A member of the Cambodian People's Party, he was Secretary of State of Economy and Finance from 2004 to 2013.
Since taking office, he has implemented major educational reforms in Cambodia, which include anti-cheating exams. In an online poll taken in March 2016, he was the most popular minister, with 72% viewing him favorably. In 2018, he was elected a Member of Parliament for Kampong Cham constituency, but resigned 13 days after taking office to focus on his duties as minister.Academic background
