HMS Resolution (1770)


HMS Resolution was a 74-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 12 April 1770 at Deptford Dockyard.
She participated in the Battle of Cape St. Vincent, Battle off Halifax, the Battle of the Chesapeake, and the Battle of the Saintes, under the command of Lord Robert Manners, who was mortally wounded in the battle and died during his return to England.
Resolution was broken up in 1813.
