Global StarCraft II Team League
GOMTV Global StarCraft II Team League is a tournament hosted by GomTV and Blizzard Entertainment in South Korea. While the Global StarCraft II League is an individual competition, the GSTL focuses on team play. The GSTL is broadcast on Thursday and Friday, whereas the GOMTV Global StarCraft II League is broadcast on Monday to Wednesday.

Month Based Events
For the first season of the GOMTV Global StarCraft II League, the GSTL was a short, 4 day event that invited the top 8 Korean teams to play. Season Based Events
The GSTL format was drastically overhauled due to its popularity. The new format was season based, going on for three months at a time, and allowed all the teams that wanted to participate to participate, instead of limiting it to 8. - A disconnect happened in game four of the 2012 GSTL Season 1 Finals with PartinG vs MarineKing. The referees decided upon a regame which sparked heavy controversy as PartinG looked to be in the lead that game. MarineKing would end up winning the regame and continue to win the following three games which would secure the victory for Prime.
- The 2012 GSTL Season 2 finals would mark the first time that an All-Kill would have been achieved in a finals. This was done by Koh "GuMiho" Byung Jae.

Preseason Events
On February 12, it was announced that GomTV would be hosting a GSTL Preseason event for the first StarCraft II expansion, Heart of the Swarm.
