Glangrwyney

Glangrwyney or Glangrwyne is a small village southeast of Crickhowell in the county of Powys in south Wales. It lies on the Grwyne Fawr river just above its confluence with the River Usk on the southern edge of the Black Mountains range. The village lies to the southeast of Sugar Loaf. Glangrwyney lies within the Vale of Grwyney Community for administrative purposes.
Facilities in the village include a village hall and The Bell public house which lies at the junction of the minor road from Gilwern with the A40 trunk road running through the village between Brecon and Abergavenny. The former army training camp of Cwrt y Gollen lies on the western edge of the village. The village is built upon the sands and gravels of a dissected alluvial fan which extends into the floodplain of the Usk, together with till derived from the former Usk Valley glacier.
