George G. Weston

George G. Weston was born on 4 March 1964 in the United Kingdom. He is the son of Garry Weston and Mary Ruth Kippenberger. His paternal grandfather Willard Garfield Weston set up the family's worldwide food empire, originating in Canada. The Weston family also own Fortnum & Mason and Selfridges. His sister Jana Khayat is chairman of Fortnum & Mason, and his brother Guy Weston also works for ABF.
Weston was educated at the Westminster School. He was educated at New College, Oxford where he gained an MA in PPE, followed by an MBA from Harvard Business School.Career
Weston was managing director of Westmill Foods from 1992-8, then Allied Bakeries from 1999-2003. He was chief executive of George Weston Foods Ltd from 2003-5. He became CEO of ABF plc in 2005, succeeding Peter Jackson, who had taken over from his father, Garry Weston in 1999.Personal life
Weston married Katharine Acland, daughter of Sir Antony Acland, in January 1996 in Windsor and Maidenhead. They have three sons and one daughter.
