Garbage ball

A garbage ball is a football associated with street football and other informal games where manufactured footballs are not available. Garbage balls consist of various types of garbage, often discarded plastic which are held together with twine. Seattle Sounders FC player Handwalla Bwana, who spent six years of his childhood at a refugee camp in Kenya, said "We used to make a garbage ball. We used to go through the garbage cans and make as much soccer ball as we could" and attributed use of the garbage ball to being better with his feet.
