Gaius Plautius Venox
Gaius Plautius Venox was a Roman statesman who served as consul in 347 and 341 BC. C. Plautius was a colleague of Appius Claudius Crassus Caecus who brought the Appian water into Rome. C. Plautius received the name of Venox, on account of his search for the spring source of this water.
