The systematic name of this enzyme class is D-mannonate:NAD+ 5-oxidoreductase. Other names in common use include mannonate oxidoreductase, mannonic dehydrogenase, D-mannonate dehydrogenase, and D-mannonate:NAD+ oxidoreductase. This enzyme participates in pentose and glucuronate interconversions.
