Florian Deuter is a German violinist and conductor specialized in historical performance.Life and career
Florian Deuter finished his violin studies in Cologne and Dusseldorf. In 1986 he joined the ensemble Musica Antiqua Köln under the direction of Reinhard Goebel, with whom he played for seven years as a concertmaster. With this ensemble he recorded several outstanding CDs for the labels such as Archiv Produktion of the Deutschen Grammophon. He also held the position of a concertmaster with ensembles and orchestras such as Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra under Ton Koopman, Gabrieli Consort under Paul McCreesh, Chapelle Royale and Collegium Vocale Gent under Philippe Herreweghe. Between 2000 and 2004 he was the concertmaster of orchestra Musiciens du Louvre under Marc Minkowski. In 2003, with colleagues from this orchestra, he established his own ensemble Harmonie Universelle, with aim to perform new discoveries of the 17th and 18th century music. He also appears as the concertmaster of Concerto Köln and New Trinity Baroque.Discography
With his ensemble Harmonie Universelle he recorded works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Friedrich Fasch, Johann Pachelbel, Jean-Marie Leclair, Antonio Vivaldi and Arcangelo Corelli, sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach and cantatas by Giovanni Battista Ferrandini and also Christoph Graupner among others.Web Sites
