The Faculty of Arts at Comenius University in Bratislava was founded in 1921 and contains multiple academic departments.

British and American Studies

Students in this department started an English-language comedy troupe.

Journalism

The Department of Journalism formed in 1992 with a merger of three older departments. Alternatively, it can be dated back to 1952 when it was named Department of Newspapering and Librarianship.
The Chairwoman of the Department of Journalism is doc. PhDr. Svetlana Hlavčáková, PhD.
