Elkhart Independent School District
Elkhart Independent School District is a public school district based in Elkhart, Texas. The district is located in southwest Anderson County and extends into northern Houston County. A small portion of the district extends to the city of Palestine.
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.Schools
