Egan Company is a single-source specialty contractor based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. As of 2013, Egan Company had $210 million in revenue and employs over 900 workers on projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other Midwest areas.

History

Although Egan Company was officially founded in 1945, its practical beginnings date back to 1903 when Joseph Egan opened a pipefitting shop in Northeast Minnesota, along the Iron Range. After the onset of World War I, Egan relocated to Minneapolis, where he started a plumbing business. Business functions were forced to stop during World War II, but when the eldest brothers returned from duty, they used $3,000 in funding to start up Egan & Sons Plumbing and Heating Company.

Safety Program and Award

"Safety Brings You Home" is the adopted slogan of Egan Company's safety program. In 2014, Egan Company was named one of America's Safest Companies to work for by EHS Today Magazine.

Management

Duane Hendricks is the current President and CEO as of 2018. He was preceded by Jim Malecha until 2017 who was preceded by Craig Sulentic until 2009. Gerald Egan was President and CEO until 2000, and was the last of the Egan brothers to stay with the company.
