Dumitru Macri


Dumitru Macri is a Romanian former football player and manager.

Playing career

Born in Bucharest, Macri played club football for Rapid București. He was the club's captain between 1952 and 1966.
He also earned 8 caps for the Romanian national team between 1958 and 1962, making his debut in a friendly which ended with a 2–1 against Hungary. He also played two games for the Euro 1960 and 1964 qualifiers. He also appeared twice for Romania's Olympic team at the 1960 Summer Olympics qualifiers.

Coaching career

Macri managed the Algerian national team.

Later life

He left Romania in 1986, moving to France with his son, an architect.
