. It was named for
George Higinbotham
, a leading
Victorian
colonial
politician
and
judge
. It was located in
the
south-eastern
suburbs
of
Melbourne
, including
Bentleigh
,
Highett
,
Moorabbin
and
Sandringham
. It was a
fairly
safe seat
for the
Liberal Party
.
