Dean Monogenis


Dean Monogenis is an American painter and sculptor who creates architectural settings. He uses a variety of techniques in his painting which results in added lines, edges and textures that he thereafter accentuates.

Education

Monogenis graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, BFA in 1996.

Solo exhibitions

Monogenis has shown his work internationally at galleries including: Galerie Xippas in France, Switzerland, Uruguay, and Greece, Stux Gallery, NYC; CCA Andratx, Spain; Morgan Lehman Gallery, NYC; and the Walter Maciel Gallery, Los Angeles

Group exhibitions

His works have also been exhibited in galleries and museums including: Musée d'art moderne, Pavillon de l'Arsenal, Neuberger Museum of Art, Santa Monica Museum of Art, CCA Andratx, Wave Hill, Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Mykonos Biennale, Angels Gate Cultural Center, Herter Art Gallery, University of Massachusetts, Bedford Gallery at the Lesher Center for the Arts, Schneider Museum of Art, Hunterdon Art Museum.
Artists he has exhibited with include: Maria Atmatzidou, Lucas Samaras, Takis, Darren Almond, Marco Maggi, Panagiota Apostolopoulou, Lydia Andrioti, Nikos Alexiou, Rebeca Bollinger, Amir H. Fallah, Peter Halley, Valerie Jouve, ORLAN, Pepa Prieto, Dan Walsh among others.
Monogenis' work has been included in art fairs including: FIAC, VOLTA, Arte BA, Pulse, Scope, Miami Project, and Este Art Fair
