Davika Hoorne


Davika Hoorne, also known as Mai Davika, is a half Thai half Belgian actress and model, who made an acting debut on 2010 in television series Ngao Kammathep as the lead role. She rose to fame from her films; Heart Attack with Sunny Suwanmethanon and Suddenly Twenty. She iNow female lead star of Thailand's highest-grossing film of all time, Pee Mak alongside Mario Maurer. She has collaborated with Korean singer Ali in a music video entitled No Way under Genie Music. She has collaborated with Vietnamese singer Sơn Tùng M-TP in music video Run Now.
As of now, she has been dubbed as the "Queen of Presenters" in Thailand. She is also one of the most sought out actresses and a cult favorite amongst makeup artists, stylist, magazine companies, local and international advertisements. She is a spokesperson for famous brand, L'Oréal. She joined Michael Kors in New York Fashion Week 2017. Early life

Davika was born on May 16, 1992, in Bangkok, Thailand.
She was named Mai after singer Mai Charoenpura. She is of mixed Thai & Belgian descent.
She attended Phraharuthai Donmuang School and Kevalee International School during her primary and secondary school years. She graduated from Rangsit University, major in Communication Arts.

Career

She made an acting debut on 2010 in television series Ngao Kammathep as the lead role. She rose to fame from her films; Heart Attack with Sunny Suwanmethanon and Suddenly Twenty. In 2013, she has been the female lead star of Thailand's highest-grossing film of all time, Pee Mak alongside Mario Maurer.
Before debuting, she was a commercial model. She entered modeling industry at the age of 14 through filming various commercials. However, she caught the attention of Helen, the assistant of her former manager, Supachai Srivijit. Through the help of her former manager, she earned herself a contract with Channel 7. In 2016, Mai started to become a freelance actress. Her current manager is Klao Nampraw.
She received an award alongside Mario Maurer in the 2016 Asia Model Awards held in Korea. She is also an ambassador of UNICEF and WildAid Thailand.

Personal life

She has a relationship with Chantavit Dhanasevi since mid-2018.
