Crivitz (crater)

Crivitz is an impact crater on Mars. It is named after the small town of Crivitz in western Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The crater is located within the larger crater Gusev.
The name was proposed by Stephan Gehrke in 2002, at the time a research associate of the TU Berlin working on cartographic software and a visiting researcher at the United States Geological Survey.
