Cranopsis asturiana


Cranopsis asturiana, common name the hawk puncturella, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fissurellidae, the keyhole limpets.

Description

The shell can grow to be 15 mm to 25 mm in length.

Distribution

This species occurs in European waters, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico; the Atlantic Ocean off North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. It lives at a depth of 182 m to 2017 m.
