Cote (restaurant)


Cote is New York City's first Korean barbecue steakhouse. The restaurant earned one Michelin star in the 2018 Michelin Guide, which noted its “particularly interesting wine list”.
The name is a Korean word that can mean flower, blossom, bloom, beauty, or essence.

History

Cote opened on June 8, 2017. The restaurant is owned and manage by Simon Kim who also operates Michelin starred restaurant, Piora, also in Manhattan, New York. The head chef is David Shim.
Cote offers Korean-styled steak and dry ages their steak in the restaurant. It is the only Korean steakhouse with a dry aging room. Restaurant critic Pete Wells considered Cote to serve better beef than any other Korean BBQ restaurant in New York City.
