Columbus Hotel Monaco
Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo is a 3-star boutique hotel located at 23, Avenue des Papalins in the Fontvieille area of western Monaco. It was created by Scottish hotelier Ken McCulloch in partnership with Formula One racing car driver David Coulthard until McCulloch sold his shares in 2008 to concentrate in developing his Dakota hotels in the UK. Coulthard sold out to London and Regional Properties in April 2010. The hotel was opened on April 21, 2001 by Rainier III, Prince of Monaco.
The interior of the hotel was originally designed by international designer Amanda Rosa in the cosy and boutique style with light colour palettes and natural furnishings of leather, marble, wood and stone. The hotel has 157 rooms and 23 suites, 1 apartment and a lobby bar. An extensive program of renovation started in August 2017 to be completed by April 2018. 13 studio and apartments and one penthouse will be created, along with the refurbishment of the 181 rooms and suites - Certified Clef Verte -
