southeast
of
Pitt Point
,
Trinity Peninsula
. It was
discovered
in
1903
by the
Swedish Antarctic Expedition
under
Otto Nordenskiöld
, who named it for
Wilhelm Carlson
, one of the
chief
patrons
of the
expedition
.
