A resident of Elmwood Park, New Jersey, Carl Blaze was the victim of a fatal shooting on December 7, 2006, outside an apartment building in the Inwood section of Manhattan where he was said to have been shot 12 to 16 times at about 4:30 AM. Sources say that a diamond chain was stolen from him at the scene. The chain was said to be worth roughly around $20,000-$25,000. He was taken to Harlem Hospital Center, where he died Saturday, December 23. No arrest has been made.
