Care Johnson


Care Johnson is a British photographer, image retoucher, network marketer, make-up artist and blogger. She is also ambassador for The Prince's Trust, Young Britain, Startup Britain, and Women of The Future.

Childhood

Johnson was born and raised in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, UK. She studied at Howden Clough girls' high school and sixth form centre, in Birstall, then Spen Valley Sports College in Liversedge. She left home at 16 and moved to Shropshire.

Life and career

Johnson started her photography career in 2011 at the age of 17, working freelance covering mainly events and nature photography. This changed when she started posting her self-portraits online and she subsequently changed to shooting more portrait work. Johnson is also a press photographer.
One year on from starting her photography, she was chosen from a number of Princes Trust-supported photographers across the UK by Rankin to work with him on the advertising creative for The Prince's Trust national Tomorrow Campaign. In May 2012, Johnson travelled to London to meet with PM David Cameron and Lord Young live on Sky News to speak about unemployment in young people through The Prince's Trust.
Her work was shown on the home page of Microsoft's search engine Bing and was exhibited in the houses of Parliament throughout the end of 2012. Johnson appeared on Glamour magazines 'One to Watch 2014' list. In September 2014 Johnson won 'The Good Samaritan Award' at The Youth 4 Excellence Awards Ceremony held in Birmingham.
