Céline Curiol


Céline Curiol is a French journalist and writer.
She was born in Lyon and was educated at the École supérieure des techniques avancées and the Sorbonne. Curiol moved to New York City where she was a correspondent for the BBC and Radio France. In 2005, she published her first novel Voix sans issue ; it has been translated into several languages. It was a winner of the French Voices Award, and a finalist for the Best Translated Book Award and the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize in 2009.
Most recently, she has been living at the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto. Curiol has also lived in London and Buenos Aires.
