Bud Swartz
Sherwin Merle "Bud" Swartz was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the St. Louis Browns in. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was Jewish. He attended University High School in Los Angeles, California.
A single in his only at-bat at 18 years of age left Swartz with a rare MLB career batting average of 1.000. He pitched in five games, and gave up four earned runs in 5.1 innings.
