Bosse Parnevik


Bo Sigfrid Parnevik is a Swedish impersonator, revue artist and comedian. He is member of Lokalrevyer i Sverige and gives the "Parnevik Scholarship" to good revue artists every year. His son is professional golfer Jesper Parnevik.

Biography and career

Parnevik moved with his family from Gothenburg to Munkfors when he was 2 years old. Then his career as artist started when he was teenager; he performed his imitations at youth clubs. He debuted in a TV program broadcast from Nalen in Stockholm on 31 December 1957, together with among Charlie Norman, Ingemar Johansson and Povel Ramel.
Parnevik was a good athlete and moved to Stockholm where he educated to gymnastic director. His talent was well-known after his performance at Folkparkernas Artistforum in Västerås in 1959. He appeared in the radio program Karusellen in 1963 and in the TV program Hvar fjortonde dag 1965-67. In end of the 60s, Parnevik was so established that he did about 300 performances at folkparks during May-September. In 1971 he made his first TV program Harpsundspartaj. 1978-79 he hosted Party hos Parnevik which became very popular.
His very popular performances was when he prank called entertainment programs and spoke as another person's voice. Besides this, he was intelligent with wearing masks which made him looking like another person, among them Magnus Härenstam, Bengt Bedrup, Sven-Bertil Taube, Lennart Bodström, Olof Palme and Ingemar Mundebo.
Together with Hasse Wallman Parnevik established as restaurant keeper and bought restaurants in Stockholm, among them Bacchi Wapen. Later he was partner of Chinateatern, where he performed his 1st revue Parneviks revyparty with among Siw Malmkvist, Lars Amble and Grynet Molvig. In 1987 he performed the revue Parneviks Oscarsparty at Oscarsteatern. 1993-94 he performed Parneviks Cirkusparty at a game place in Stockholm called Cirkus.
In November 2007 his revue Parneviks gubbröra had premiere at Maximteatern.
