Blockchain Capital '' is a venture capital company. The company was founded in October 2013 by Bart Stephens, Bradford Stephens and Brock Pierce, chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation. Blockchain Capital is one of the most active and oldest venture investors in blockchain with a portfolio of more than 70 projects financed and $275M assets under management.

History

Blockchain Capital pioneered the world’s first ever tokenized investment fund and the blockchain industry’s very first security token, the BCAP. It was sold through a security token offering in April of 2017. Blockchain Capital held this ICO as an experiment which helped the company to raise $10 million just in six hours.
Blockchain Capital has raised $150 million in 2018, with the help of its ICO, having reached $250 million value of venture capital assets. The major contributor became Ripple which invested $25 million in XRP to Blockchain Capital’s $150 million fund.
Overall, the company has invested in several unicorns so far, among them Ripple, Ethereum and Coinbase.
