Bill Marolt


William Charles "Bill" Marolt is a retired American alpine skier. He competed in the giant slalom at the 1964 Winter Olympics and placed 12th. Domestically he won four individual NCAA titles.
After graduating from the University of Colorado, Marolt worked as a ski coach there, leading his team to seven consecutive NCAA titles in 1972–78. He then became a national coach, but after the 1984 Winter Olympics returned to Colorado, where he served as athletic director for 12 years. In 1996 he was appointed as President of United States Ski and Snowboard Association. He is a member of the National Ski Hall of Fame and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. His elder brother Max was also an Olympic alpine skier.
