Bifuka is located in a valley in the north central region of the island of Hokkaido. The town is surrounded by mountains. The Teshio River flows roughly northwest through Bifuka.Bifuka borders six other municipalities, which span Kamikawa, Okhotsk, and Sōya subprefectures:
