Betty Mitchell (speed skater)
Betty Mitchell Olson is a former Canadian long track speed skater from Manitoba, who was active from 1939 until 1950.
Mitchell represented her nation at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1949, finishing 12th overall.
As a young rider she won the Juvenile Girls outdoor and indoor North American Championships in 1942.
Olson stopped her speed skating career after winning the 1950 North American Senior Women's Championship. She won in for the third time.
She was elected to the Canadian Amateur Speed Skating Hall of Fame in 1965.Records
