Beau Borders
Beau Borders is an American sound engineer and race driver.
Born into a grassroots racing family, ’ earliest memories revolve around the white-knuckle world of motorsports. He grew up working on his father’s New Jersey based team competing in IMSA, Trans-AM and SCCA. His addiction to the sport was apparent from an early age and would ultimately go on to become his life’s greatest passion.
A true addict of the sport, has spent years competing in as many road racing events as his bank balance can endure. His extensive resume includes many wins, podiums, and even a few championships in both open and closed-wheel competition.
racing career has been intertwined with his film career, which began at George Lucas’s famed Skywalker Ranch. Since that time, Beau has built a successful profession in Sound Mixing and Editing within the movie industry. He has collaborated on such box office hits as “Titanic”, “” and “Lone Survivor”, for which and his Mixing partners received Academy Award nominations for Sound Mixing in 2014.
For the current racing season continues to compete in the Trans Am West Series, presented by Pirelli. He has scored a win and several podiums in the world renowned Pro Sportscar series, and ended the 2019 season in 2nd place in the GT class. He will also continue his efforts with the competing in both the and various endurance races. He was given the 2018 Driver of the Year award by the SCCA NorCal Region, and won both the NASA Western Endurance and Championships. He currently resides in Venice Beach, California.
