Bambangan cakil

Bambangan cakil dance is one of the Javanese classical dances originating from Central Java, Indonesia. This dance was actually adopted from one of the scenes in the Wayang kulit performance, the Perang Kembang. This dance tells the story of war between knights against giants. Satria is a character who is subtle and gentle, while the giant describes a character who is rude and violent. In the performance of shadow puppets, this war war scene usually comes out in the middle or on Pathet Sanga. The war between the Knights against this giant is very attractive, in this scene it can also be used as a place to evaluate a puppeteer in moving the puppets.
The meaning contained in this dance is that all forms of evil and arrogance must be inferior to goodness.
