Arturo Vega


Arturo Vega was a Mexico-born, United States punk rock graphic designer and artistic director, best known for having created the :File:Ramones logo.jpg|logo for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, The Ramones. He was sometimes called the fifth Ramone, and attended all but two of the more than 2,200 shows they played from their formation in 1974 to their disbanding in 1996.
Vega died from cancer on June 8, 2013 at the age of 65.
Vega was the art and stage illumination director for the Ramones from the band's inception until the group's end.
In 1975 Vega created a parody mixing the Presidential Seal and a baseball bat in the act of creating the Ramones' logo.
