Arbetaren

Arbetaren is a Swedish weekly newspaper, founded in 1922. It is published by the anarcho-syndicalist union SAC, Central Organisation of the Workers of Sweden.
As of 2013 the paper has a circulation of 2,500. The edition had its high point in 1941 with 29 600 copies. This is said to have been because of the newspaper being one of the main coherent voices in print against Sweden-German relations during World War II.
Apart from its political and foreign correspondents, Arbetaren has also published many high-profile Swedish writers, not necessarily connected to syndicalism. During its first half-century, Arbetaren published works by authors including Stig Dagerman, Tage Danielsson, Nils Ferlin, Eyvind Johnson, Harry Järv, Ivar Lo-Johansson, Arthur Lundkvist, Harry Martinson, Moa Martinson, Vilhelm Moberg, Karl Vennberg and Per Wästberg.
