. Benthic refers to "bottom-dwelling"
organisms
that are known to
exhibit
unusual
characteristics
not
normally
seen in shallow-dwelling
creatures
. ANDEEP has
already
made many
notable
discoveries
, such as
animals
with
gigantism
and
extraordinary
longevity
.
