Anel Ahmedhodžić


Anel Ahmedhodžić is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Swedish club Malmö FF and the Sweden national team.
Ahmedhodžić started his professional career at Nottingham Forest, before joining Malmö FF in 2019. Later that year, he was loaned to Hobro.

Club career

Early career

Ahmedhodžić came through youth academy of his hometown club Malmö FF, which he left in January 2016 to join Nottingham Forest. He made his professional debut against Newcastle United on 30 December at the age of 17.

Malmö FF

On 28 January 2019, Ahmedhodžić returned to Malmö for an undisclosed transfer fee. He made his competitive debut for the side against Helsingborg on 2 June.
In July 2019, Ahmedhodžić was sent on a season-long loan to Danish side Hobro, but was recalled in January 2020. On 21 July, he scored his first professional goal against Esbjerg.
In April 2020, he extended his contract with the team until December 2023.

International career

After representing Sweden on all youth levels, Ahmedhodžić made his senior international debut in a friendly match against Moldova on 9 January 2020.
