Andri Guðjohnsen


Andri Lucas Guðjohnsen is an Icelandic football player who plays for La Liga side Real Madrid CF.

Biography

Born in London, Andri is the son of the former Barça star Eiður Guðjohnsen, and the younger brother of Spezia Calcio footballer Sveinn Aron Guðjohnsen.

Club Career

Andri Guðjohnsen started playing football in FC Barcelona, but after tree years in La Masia, he left to play for the local club of Gava, before joining Espanyol Barcelona in 2015.
He moved to Real Madrid in the summer 2018 from Espanyol. He had scored 20 goals for Espanyol youth teams the previous season, and the Real is reported to have made of the youngster's signing a top priority, also including in the deal Andri's younger brother Dani.
His first season in Madrid was successful, as his performance earned him a place in the U19 squad at only 16 years old, where he scored several goals, under Raúl's management.

International career

Andri Guðjohnsen has been a leader of the several Icelandic youth selection he played with. One of his youth international career highs was when he scored a hat trick against Germany, qualifying his team for Euro U17 2019.
