Andrés Machado
Andrés Eduardo Machado is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. He has played in Major League Baseball for the Royals.Career
On November 20, 2010, Machado signed with the Kansas City Royals organization to begin his professional career. He spent the 2011 season with the DSL Royals. Partway through the 2013 season, he was assigned to the Burlington Royals. Midway through the 2016 season, he was assigned to the Idaho Falls Chukars. In the minor leagues in 2017, Machado appeared for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Omaha Storm Chasers.
Machado was called up to the majors for the first time on September 1, 2017. He was non-tendered by the Royals on November 30, 2018, making him a free agent. On December 3, Machado re-signed to a minor league contract with the Royals. He was assigned to AAA Omaha Storm Chasers to start the 2019 season. He became a free agent following the 2019 season. Machado again re-signed with the club on a minor league contract on November 20, 2019.
