Alice Madden


Alice Donnelly Madden is a politician from Colorado and member of the Democratic party. From 2001 to 2009, she served in the Colorado House of Representatives, representing the 10th district around Boulder. From 2005 to 2009, she served as Majority Leader.
After 2009, Madden served as climate advisor and deputy chief of staff to Colorado governor Bill Ritter and as an official in the U.S. Department of Energy.
In 2016, she was a candidate for the University of Colorado Board of Regents, but she lost to Republican Heidi Ganahl. Madden ran in the Democratic primary in the 2020 United States Senate election in Colorado, but withdrew after former Governor John Hickenlooper joined the race.
