Albin Lesky
Albin Lesky - classical philologist and university teacher from Austria. He was born on July 7, 1896 in Graz and died on February 28, 1981 in Innsbruck. He graduated from the University of Graz. He was awarded the honorary doctorate of the University of Graz, the Ring of Honour of the City of Vienna, the Preis der Stadt Wien für Geisteswissenschaften, the Honorary doctor of the Ghent University, the honorary doctorate of the University of Glasgow, the honorary doctor of the University of Athens, the honorary doctor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art, the Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts, the Honorary doctor of the University of Vienna, the Wilhelm Hartel prize.
