1993 Utah Utes football team
In 1993, the Utes went to a bowl game for the second straight season. This time it was the Freedom Bowl, where they lost 28–21 to the USC Trojans. This season also marked a change in the Utah-BYU rivalry, dubbed the Holy War. They defeated the Cougars 34–31 in Provo, the first Utah win in the series since 1988, and the first at BYU since 1971.Schedule
