1946 North Carolina Tar Heels football team
The 1946 North Carolina Tar Heels football team represented the University of North Carolina during the 1946 college football season. The Tar Heels were led by fourth-year head coach Carl Snavely and played their home games at Kenan Memorial Stadium. The team competed as members of the Southern Conference, winning the conference title with an undefeated conference record of 4–0–1. Ranked ninth in the final AP Poll, the Tar Heels were invited to the school's first ever bowl game, the 1947 Sugar Bowl, where they lost to Georgia.Schedule
