1897 École des Beaux-Arts vs. Académie Julian football game
The 1897 École des Beaux-Arts vs. Académie Julian football game was a college football game between American students of the École des Beaux-Arts and the Académie Julian, played on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1897 at 2:30 pm in Levallois near Paris, France. Considered the first American football game ever played in Europe. The game was promoted by Robert D. Farquhar and was played on the grounds owned by the Racing Club de France.The Teams
